It’s just a ride. But we always kill those good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok. But it doesn’t matter, because it’s just a ride. And we can change it anytime we want. It’s only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings and money. A choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off.
The eyes of love instead see all of us as ONE.

Cute post. Obviously I agree with the ride aspect as my recent “Experience” is about the same thing: the little ennie weenie not being able to catch its tail, spinning round and round and round, generating the world!

i love the remark about killing the dummies that remember this is “just” a ride. Remember what happened to Zarathustra when he went to tell the townsfolk that “God was dead”. Ouch! 🙂
Given that it is a big fancy ride of all flashing lights and excitement and titillation, does it really make a difference if one plays the game of bleeding heart liberal or staunch, militant, “god”-fearing conservative? That is part of the message of “Experience” that all actions lead to unintended consequences and therefore broaches the question: how should we act? (“should” should be italicized)
My favorite example is how the materialistic scientists invented the internet, which initially was an instrument of war, and did more to unify Humanity than all the religions put together.
Like my Dad says, “you just never know…”

Life, eh?! I’m learning how to let go and trust the ride. All I know is that whenever I try to control things or work out what I ‘should’ be doing, things get messed up and I end up in a pickle. When I let go, things seem to flow where they’re meant to be. It’s a funny old business…
I enjoyed your series on Experience and I’m in the middle of reading What is Science? which is great too. Keep up the good work!
