When Neptune transits the 3rd house your need for transcendence and imagination influences how you think and communicate your ideas. Neptune inspires new dreams and dissolves old structures and represents your need to spiritualise and refine this area of your life.

When Neptune transits the 3rd house you may experience inspiration and confusion with your thinking, communication, relationships with neighbours, siblings and relatives, your daily routines and local environment. Neptune dissolves the boundaries of your mind making it more receptive to atmospheres and alternative perspectives with mixed results.

You may become more intuitive and sensitive to what others are thinking and feeling. This can make your communication more effective because you can tune into what people need to hear and inspire them with compassion and insight. But your own emotions could also distort your perception leading to poor judgement or self-deception.

Your mind could become unstable or unfocused making it hard to concentrate or communicate clearly. Or you could struggle to express your ideas because they’re too diffuse or not easy to put into words. You could be prone to making mistakes or get swept up in delusions and fantasies that lead to disillusionment. So be careful of details and check anything you’re not sure of, especially contracts, numbers and transactions.

You may become more aware of the subtext in what people say because you can feel the truth or lies behind the words. This can be confusing but you need to realise that others may not be lying directly. They might be, but they could also be lying to themselves and not realise what they really feel. It may be hard to know whether you’re perceiving things correctly or just imagining things.

This could make you feel unsure of your own thinking and perceptions. You may need to check your feelings to make sure you’re not projecting your own fears, doubts or hopes onto a situation. You could also experience situations that reflect your own fears so you can come to see them more clearly and develop greater self-awareness.

As your mind opens you could find it easier to absorb information in a more imaginative way. You may want to learn more about spirituality and esoteric subjects, or express your imagination in creative work through music, film, writing and poetry, dance, theatre, photography, and fashion. You may also be drawn to doing charity or healing work or helping those who are less fortunate than yourself.

My notes:

Neptune will transit my 3rd house from 2041 to 2055, from age 70 to 85, so maybe dementia is in the stars! We’ll have to wait and see, assuming I live that long.
