As promised in the Pluto transits to Pluto post, here’s a series of handy tables that show when each Pluto generation will experience Pluto transits to his natal position. The dates are approximate so you’ll have to check your own birth chart to confirm the specific details for your personal Pluto cycle.

The tables show the dates for each Pluto generation and the sign that Pluto is in when he forms each aspect in the cycle, followed by the dates when those transits occur and the age at which they happen. This will give you a rough idea when to expect each of these transits to your natal Pluto placement.

Pluto in Cancer – 1913 to 1939

Sextile – Virgo	1956 – 1972	Age 33 to 43
Square – Libra	1971 – 1984	Age 45 to 58
Trine – Scorpio	1983 – 1995	Age 56 to 70
Opposition – Capricorn	2008 – 2024	Age 85 to 95

The Pluto in Cancer generation experienced the sextile well after their first Saturn return. The square occurred anywhere from the Saturn half-return up to the second Saturn return for later members of the generation. Earlier members had the trine with their second Saturn return, while the opposition occurred late for everyone.

Pluto in Leo – 1937 to 1958

Sextile – Libra	1971 – 1984	Age 26 to 34
Square – Scorpio	1983 – 1995	Age 37 to 46
Trine – Sagittarius	1995 – 2008	Age 50 to 58
Opposition – Aquarius	2023 – 2044	Age 86

The Pluto in Leo generation experienced the sextile around the same time as their first Saturn return and the square during the mid-life transits of the Uranus half-return and Saturn half-return. This would have made their mid-life transits more intense and powerful. The trine happened near the second Saturn return for later members of this generation, while the opposition occurs at the same age for everyone.

Pluto in Virgo – 1956 to 1972

Sextile – Scorpio	1983 – 1995	Age 23 to 27
Square – Sagittarius	1995 – 2008	Age 36 to 39
Trine – Capricorn	2008 – 2024	Age 52
Opposition – Pisces	2043 – 2067	Age 87 to 95

The Pluto in Virgo generation experienced the sextile before their first Saturn return and the square before their mid-life transits. This ordeal by fire in their mid-30s probably changed their experience of the mid-life transits that arrive in the late 30s to early 40s. The trine in their early 50s was a nice breather by comparison, and the opposition will arrive late.

Pluto in Libra – 1971 to 1984

Sextile – Sagittarius	1995 – 2008	Age 24
Square – Capricorn	2008 – 2024	Age 37 to 40
Trine – Aquarius	2023 – 2044	Age 52 to 60
Opposition – Aries	2066 – 2096	Age 95 to 112

The Pluto in Libra generation also had the sextile well before their first Saturn return and the square again blazed a trail into the mid-life transits of the early 40s. The trine may arrive around the same time as the second Saturn return for later members of this generation. The opposition arrives late for everyone but later members may never experience it.

Pluto in Scorpio – 1983 to 1995

Sextile – Capricorn	2008 – 2024	Age 25 to 29
Square – Aquarius	2023 – 2044	Age 40 to 49
Trine – Pisces	2043 – 2067	Age 60 to 72
Opposition – Taurus	2095 – 2128	Age 112 to 133

The Pluto in Scorpio generation experienced the sextile just before or around the same time as their first Saturn return giving that moment extra power. The square coincides with the other mid-life transits of the Uranus and Saturn half-returns, adding intensity and transformative potential. The trine will happen just after the second Saturn return for early members of the generation, while most will never experience the opposition.

Pluto in Sagittarius – 1995 to 2008

Sextile – Aquarius	2023 – 2044	Age 28 to 36
Square – Pisces	2043 – 2067	Age 48 to 59
Trine – Aries	2066 – 2096	Age 71 to 88
Opposition – Gemini	2127 – 2158	Age 132 to 150

The Pluto in Sagittarius generation are experiencing the sextile at the same time as the first Saturn return for the early members of the generation, or after it for later members. The square will arrive after the mid-life transits have finished and will coincide with the second Saturn return for later members. The trine arrives late for everyone and none will experience the opposition.

Pluto in Capricorn – 2008 to 2024

Sextile – Pisces	2043 – 2067	Age 35 to 43
Square – Aries	2066 – 2096	Age 58 to 72
Trine – Taurus	2095 – 2128	Age 87 to 104
Opposition – Cancer	2157 – 2184	Age 149 to 160

The Pluto in Capricorn generation will experience the sextile much later than everyone else and it may coincide with the start of the mid-life transits for some. The square doesn’t arrive until the second Saturn return for early members of the generation, and the trine will be the last transit experienced, although some may not make it that far. None will experience the opposition.

Pluto in Aquarius – 2024 to 2044

Sextile – Aries	2066 – 2096	Age 43 to 52
Square – Taurus	2095 – 2128	Age 72 to 84
Trine – Gemini	2127 – 2158	Age 104 to 114
Opposition – Leo	2183 – 2204	Age 158 to 160

The Pluto in Aquarius generation will experience the sextile even later than previous generations and not until the mid-life transits are well underway or even finished. The square also arrives very late and is likely to be the last transit experienced. Some may experience the trine if they live long enough but none will experience the opposition.
