We’re almost at the end of 2025 (Yay!) as the Saturn Neptune conjunction creeps closer together at the end of Pisces, painting mirages and confusion as we wait for the promised new beginning that arrives next year. At the moment of posting this, Saturn and Mercury are still retrograde but they both station direct in the next couple of days. Saturn goes direct on 28th November and Mercury follows the next day on 29th. If you’ve got stuff to do, wait until after this for clarity and forward momentum to return.

December begins with Neptune, Uranus, Chiron and Jupiter retrograde, while Neptune goes direct after the first week. The water Grand Trine is still going strong with Saturn Neptune, Mercury, and Jupiter creating strong emotions and a desire for connection and healing. Mercury is heading back towards Sagittarius and is opposite Uranus making a Kite which could trigger surprises, reversals and breakthroughs.
Venus is also opposite Uranus but starting to move away so the disruption to your finances and relationships should fade as the month progresses. The Mercury opposition to Uranus goes exact on 10th, the day before Mercury enters Sagittarius, so his disruptive efforts aren’t over yet. That aspect fades by mid-month which should relieve the mental pressure.
Meanwhile, Jupiter opposite Pluto fades out by 7th and will return next year. The Jupiter Chiron square remains close and goes exact on 21st, the day after the solstice. This is the second exact aspect since the one in October which gives you the opportunity to explore and heal old wounds. The aspect remains in orb for the rest of the year and returns for a final exact aspect in July 2026.

On 4th December the Full Moon in Gemini sees the Sun conjunct Venus in Sagittarius opposite the Moon in Gemini and square the nodes. This lunation brings your attention to your need for meaning and how this conflicts with basic facts and information. You may feel restless and want the freedom to explore, both mentally and physically, and Venus in Sagittarius reinforces this desire. It’s a good time to do something that makes you feel good about yourself and boosts your self-worth.
The opposition from Uranus could disrupt your fun or bring more excitement than you can handle, with changeable feelings that could trigger breakups. You can use the harmonious aspects of Neptune and Pluto in the Cradle to release the tension by tapping into your imagination and compassion to deepen your connection with others.
Mars is also in Sagittarius reinforcing the restless lunation and encouraging you to expand your horizons. But his spirits are dampened slightly by the square from Saturn and Neptune which could undermine your energy and motivation or make you feel frustrated or confused about what you want. But you can use this aspect to take action inspired by faith or put your energy into creative projects or spiritual work.
About a week after the Full Moon you may want to look out for a rare Grand Sextile alignment that happens on 12th December. It only lasts for a few hours when the Moon is in Virgo opposite the Saturn Neptune conjunction and sextile Mercury and Jupiter, while Jupiter also sextiles Uranus, which sextiles Saturn Neptune, which sextiles Pluto, which sextiles Mercury!

Grand Sextiles are formed from two Grand Trines in different elements making a Star of David that incorporates lots of other configurations too. It contains great creative potential but can also scatter the energy around and make it hard to focus. If this configuration contacts your chart you could tap into it by using the T-square formed by the Moon opposite Saturn Neptune and square Mars, although this is mutable so could be hard to pin down.
On 20th December the New Moon in Sagittarius is conjunct Venus in Sagittarius and Mars in Capricorn, square Saturn Neptune, and trine Chiron. This lunation continues the focus on your need for adventure, meaning and knowledge, and you may feel restless and optimistic, although the square from Saturn may squish this.
Mars in Capricorn can help to put your imagination into form in a productive way and you should be able to channel your energy into whatever needs to be done. If you can keep your self-doubt under control, you’ll be able to get organised and work in a steady and disciplined way towards realistic goals.
However, the square from Neptune could lower your energy and create confusion that undermines your ability to succeed. But you can also reimagine your goals so they align with your true purpose by using the helpful trines from Jupiter to Saturn and Neptune which boosts your optimism and gives you a larger perspective on events. This is also supported by Mercury in Sagittarius.

On 21st December the Sun enters Capricorn at the Solstice in almost the same configuration as the New Moon, except now the Sun and Moon are in Capricorn, with the Moon opposite Jupiter and square Chiron in a T-square. With the Sun in Capricorn your attention shifts to the need for hard work and practical goals and you can achieve your ambitions through self-discipline and responsibility. The Moon supports this desire to be productive and useful by controlling your emotions and this can help you to handle the square from Saturn Neptune to the Sun.
This is a good time to get organised, make a realistic plan and get to work, while also leaving space for inspiration, creativity and intuition. The Moon is opposite Jupiter which could make you work too hard or create a conflict between your home life and work, but Jupiter being in Cancer is so positive that you’re unlikely to neglect your family or feelings.
A few days after the solstice Venus enters Capricorn and adds her agreeable energy to the mix allowing you to enjoy working hard. She values stability and responsibility in relationships and finances, although she’s also square Neptune which could make things more diffuse or deceptive so remember to lean towards the practical energy of Capricorn to keep your feet on the ground.
