Pluto Transits: 5th House

When Pluto transits the 5th house your need for transformation and power influences your need for creativity and self-expression. Pluto destroys and regenerates old structures and represents your need to be empowered and reborn in this area.

When Pluto transits the 5th house it brings intensity and evolution to your relationship with children and in romance and how you have fun with hobbies, entertainment and sports, as well as how you express yourself through creativity. You may become interested in Plutonian hobbies, such as caving or exploring dark places, true crime and detective fiction, or anything that makes you feel intensely alive and filled with passion.

Regardless what you do for recreation, you can learn more about yourself and could become obsessive about the things you enjoy. This applies to every activity in this house, including creative work, children, and relationships. Problems in any of these areas could get blown out of proportion or take over the rest of your life.

You may have intense romance and dating experiences and could be transformed by a relationship even if it doesn’t last long. You may be attracted to Plutonian types who are intense, passionate, secretive, or controlling. Or the intensity of your own feelings could bring struggles with sexuality, extreme emotions, jealousy, and power games.

If you have children, they may be going through big changes that force you to adapt and this could trigger power struggles or bring up fears about yourself as a parent. These issues may reflect similar problems you had with your parents and this allows you to revisit the past to heal old wounds and deepen your relationship to your own children.

You may have intense and transformative experiences in relation to pregnancy and childbirth, and any children born now may be very Plutonian or Scorpionic. There could also be health issues, such as abortion, miscarriage, the death of a child, or post-natal depression that forces you to explore the complex emotions about the experience of being a mother.

This transit also encourages you to explore your creativity and you may want to experiment with new mediums or techniques or do creative work for the first time. You may struggle with creative blockages or feel unable to express yourself due to emotional complexes or childhood fears that need to be faced and overcome.

But your creative work could be deep and powerful and you may be able to work through many of your issues and express yourself with greater authenticity as the transit unfolds. What you create could also have a profound impact on others and they may find it disturbing or compelling in a way that provokes extreme reactions and strong emotions.

  1. pluto is at the very beginning of my 5th house. I’m an artist so I’m very excited to see where my artistry is going to go. Just last week I signed up for an art class on how to use a new-to-me medium. I feel like for the last 20-25 years I’m been learning and growing as an artist and now I feel ready to take to whole new levels. I also feel like I’ve been learning the rules and now I’m ready to break them, to let my creative juices go where they want to go.

as someone who has no children and no real desire to hang around children, it’s more like I’ve been an adult for the last 70 years and now I wanna be able to get to play
