Last time we explored how the Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto mini triangle could influence your natal chart over the next several years. This transiting Neptune midpoint represents a key turning point in the history of civilisation – the dawn of a new era (potentially) and a new consciousness or way of perceiving reality. How this plays out depends on you and whether you’re willing to work with the energies and allow them to change you…

The current mini triangle alignment between Uranus, Neptune and Pluto contains great potential for making a radical transformation of your life but this won’t come easily. The energies of the planets may combine in unpredictable ways, and this in turn will provoke unpredictable reactions – both positive and negative. The planets could work together to bring about a positive transformation, but they could also reinforce the worst aspects of each other’s energies. And we’ll probably see a little of both.
It will mostly manifest on a collective level, simply because most people won’t engage with it consciously. That tendency is reinforced by the nature of the aspects between the planets – a trine and two sextiles.
The Uranus Pluto trine contains great creative potential but could just flow along the line of least resistance due to laziness and complacency. A trine indicates a harmonious flow of energy which means changes can be made more easily. But that ease of flow can also encourage you to continue along the way you’re already going – which may or may not be a good thing depending on what you’re doing!
At best, this trine could inspire breakthroughs and improvements, new ideas and revolutionary ways of doing things. Both planets are in air signs (Aquarius and Gemini) so your creative energy may be focused on the intellectual level and how to improve your connections and communication with other people.
However, you may also need to watch for a tendency to get caught up in collective ideologies and extreme reactions to world events. Be careful of spending too much time hooked into technology and don’t assume that every problem can be fixed with more tech and less human interaction.
The key to dealing with this triangle is to tap into the energy of the planet at the midpoint or apex. Neptune in Aries mediates between Uranus and Pluto via two sextiles and these require conscious effort to get the best out of them. Choosing to focus on the Neptunian energy will help to bring out the potentials and opportunities of the entire configuration.
Unfortunately, Neptune has a tendency to delude and confuse and lead you up the garden path. This doesn’t bode well on a collective level because it could reinforce all our illusory dreams and fantasies about society and the future. We desperately need the critical thinking of Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini but Neptune in Aries could muddy the waters and make things worse.
However, Saturn will also be present at the midpoint in 2025–26 for his conjunction with Neptune and this may help to ground and structure this energy and give it greater focus. Saturn may also burst the bubble of Neptunian delusion and bring mass disillusionment that encourages us to get back in touch with reality. If this happens, we could see a rebirth of imagination, compassion and spiritual awakening.
At best, the Neptune midpoint will bring us back to the heart and help to counterbalance the overthinking and intellectualising of Uranus and Pluto in air signs. Neptune reminds us that we can’t solve our problems just by thinking about them – we need something more. We need love.

The fact that the Saturn Neptune conjunction happens in Aries shows the importance of thinking for yourself and taking personal responsibility for your actions. In other words, the changes that need to take place in order to transform civilisation during this transiting midpoint can only happen via individuals. We must all participate in this change on a personal level to make it real.
So to get the best out of this time – and nudge the collective in a more positive direction – you need to be as self-aware as possible. And that’s a challenge because of the nature of the planets involved.
Uranus, Neptune and Pluto represent different aspects of the collective consciousness that transcend the ego or personal self. Uranus is the Universal Mind, while Neptune is Unconditional Love or the Divine Heart, and Pluto is the deep instinctual energies of the life force.
These transpersonal energies bring changes that you can’t control which makes them hard to work with consciously. Stuff happens and you have to deal with it and adapt whether you like it or not. The changes can be incredibly hard to process and understand because they’re forced upon you. This is hard on your poor little ego and can create a lot of fear. You may expect terrible things – and sometimes terrible things do happen – but being scared doesn’t help.
In The Astrology of Self-Discovery, Tracy Marks explains that the transits of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are really trying to encourage you to grow by expanding your awareness and sense of who you are in relation to the cosmos. They do this by connecting you to your true or higher Self:
“Uranus, Neptune and Pluto can all help us to become better attuned to our higher Self and the messages it receives from the universe and to experience the inner freedom which results from hearing and following our inner guidance and cooperating with universal energies.”
Some of the changes you experience during these transits may appear to be happening to you from the outside. But from the wider perspective of the higher Self or the Soul, that change is really coming from within. The hard part is acknowledging that you’re not really in control and learning to surrender to the larger reality at work in your life.
So these transits will be easier to work with if you put them into the context of spiritual growth. You can practice listening to the guidance coming from your higher Self and develop a stronger connection to your Soul. Even if you can’t see the reason behind the events of your life right now, you can stay open to the possibility that the meaning will be revealed in time and that will allow you to grow in faith.

All the transpersonal planets bring change but they each do it in slightly different ways:
- Uranus blasts through old structures that no longer work, bringing shocking reversals and surprising breakthroughs
- Neptune dissolves old structures and clouds your perception of reality, bringing idealism and disillusionment, as well as faith and compassion
- Pluto destroys rotten structures and purges emotional complexes, transforming them in death before seeding a rebirth
The challenge with this mini triangle configuration is that all three planets will be hitting the same parts of your chart at the same time (more or less). So you’ll need to deal with all of these energies simultaneously in the same area(s) of your life. How this works will depend on the order that the planets influence your natal placements.
For example, the mini triangle is currently hitting my Mercury Pluto conjunction at the end of Virgo in my 8th house, triggering money issues and deep psychological fears. Pluto already trined itself and Mercury in 2021–23, and Neptune is now opposing that point, while Uranus will trine it soon.
The changes began slowly with Pluto revealing the parts of my psyche that still needed healing. I was aware that stuff was getting stirred up but because it was a trine there wasn’t a lot of heat. I was able to contemplate the problem and make a few superficial changes but nothing really stuck.
That changed when Neptune moved to oppose Pluto last year. It wasn’t a sudden shift but a gradual inundation of grief and loss that seeped into my consciousness until it became overwhelming. It peaked early this year, reinforced by the eclipses hitting my 2nd and 8th houses, when it felt like my whole life was dissolving from under me with no way forward.
At times I couldn’t think or write and had to abandon goals and plans that I’d made that simply won’t work – at least, not right now. Everything is on hold. Uranus reaches the exact trine to my Pluto from July and perhaps I’ll receive some inspiration on what to do next. This will be followed by Saturn opposing the Mercury Pluto conjunction in 2025 which may be a chance to cut my losses and start again.
The point of sharing this is to show how these changes may be staggered over time and feed into each other. The above scenario would’ve been quite different if the transits had started with Uranus or Neptune. It may also have been better if I’d done more with the initial Pluto transit instead of being lazy (i.e. resisting change!). 🤦♀️

You may not be able to control what happens during these transits but you can choose your attitude. To work with Uranus, Neptune and Pluto constructively you have to be willing to change. You need to remain open to what the planets are trying to tell you, as Caroline Myss says in Anatomy of the Spirit:
“Let go of how you thought your life should be, and embrace the life that is trying to work its way into your consciousness.”
If you resist change during these transits, you may be more likely to experience change being forced on you by events beyond your control. To be honest, that can happen anyway, even if you’re open to change because you don’t know precisely what needs to be transformed within your Soul. It might be something you’re not yet aware of or something you thought you’d finished with but it returns on a new level, or from a different angle, for another go.
The changes you experience during these transits may be reflected in the types of aspects formed by the planets to your natal placements. Conjunctions, squares and oppositions may be more challenging, while sextiles and trines may bring more positive experiences. However, this isn’t always the case with Uranus, Neptune and Pluto so you can’t make assumptions.
Positive experiences and breakthroughs often happen with challenging aspects because they induce an internal pressure that isn’t there in the harmonious aspects. And even positive experiences can bring up difficult feelings or situations that involve a lot of disruption and are hard to integrate into your life.
Basically you don’t know what’s going to happen until it happens and there’s no need to expect the worst, or even the best. It’s better to remain open to change by making space in your life to receive inspiration from your deeper/higher Self/Soul. How you do this depends on your temperament, as well as how much work you’ve already done on yourself, and the nature of the transit(s).
There are many practices you can do that will support you through this process of change. You probably have your own favourite methods but here are a few suggestions:
- Writing a personal journal or diary
- Regular spiritual practice, such as meditation or prayer
- Keeping a dream journal
- Shadow work and other therapies, such as active imagination
- Talking with a friend or therapist
- Deep breathing and relaxation
- Regular exercise, including energy work, such as Chi Kung
- Spending more time in nature

Once you’ve been inspired to make changes you need to act on them to make them real. This depends on your relationship to the Saturn archetype in your life and how willing you are to take responsibility for yourself and do what needs to be done. Once Saturn gets into Aries in 2025 you won’t be able to avoid doing this without serious repercussions!

Hi Jessica, thank you for this great articles!
I just realized that this mini Triangle is hitting my mini Triangle of Pluto 4 Virgo/ Neptune 5 Scorpio and Saturn 0 Capricorn (who is part of a nice little T-Square with Sun 1/ North Node 4 Libra and Moon in Cancer). I should look, if I find a planet not involved (that’s Uranus on 19 Leo).
Since 2021 I doing intense Shadow work and ancestral work, and this year I am doing it slower…
And I am really really grateful for my Saturn;)
