In the last post we explored some of the possibilities for Uranus in Gemini and the importance of making conscious choices during this time. Uranus enters Gemini on 7th July but only stays for four months until 8th November 2025 before popping back into Taurus. He returns to Gemini on 26th April 2026 and the transit runs until May 2033.

Uranus will be happier in Gemini than he was in Taurus because it matches his energy better being airy and changeable. The next 7 years will be highly unpredictable and the pace of change could become so fast that we’ll struggle to keep up. However, much of that change may be more like churn as things appear to change without really progressing. In other words, business as usual, but faster.
This transit will bring a period of disruption and revolution to the Gemini area of your chart where you’ll be challenged to transform how you think and communicate and connect with others. It’s the perfect time to explore your consciousness and open your mind to new possibilities and perspectives. Uranus helps you to tap into the Universal Mind and you may receive flashes of insight that radically transform how you see reality.
You may become more interested in Uranian fields of knowledge such as science, technology, and cosmology, or esoteric subjects like astrology, as well as revolutionary ideas that overturn everything you previously thought. That makes this a good time to break old mental habits and revolutionise your thinking so you can develop greater mental freedom.

Your mind may speed up and become filled with new ideas and your intuition could become incredibly powerful. You could find innovative solutions to problems and break free of any mental scripts and narratives that have been holding you back. You could also learn new skills that open up your life in surprising ways and help you to become more adaptable.
You could start getting your news from different sources or begin to question the news you receive from any source, including alternative outlets. Surprising encounters on social media and online could radically alter your perception or send you down unusual rabbit holes. Or you may want to explore new methods of learning and/or teaching, and there could be disruption to your children’s education or your own.
You may want to explore your local neighbourhood and go to places you don’t normally visit, perhaps having mini adventures or short trips to interesting places. The way you get around may change and you could experience transport problems or car trouble. Disruption to your neighbourhood may force you to adapt and be more flexible, or you may need to change your routines which then alters your thinking and perception of reality.

This transit will encourage you to think and communicate in a more authentic way but this could trigger argumentswith others depending on how you handle it. Your thinking could become erratic and scattered, making it hard to concentrate, and you may feel restless and struggle to relax or sleep at times. This depends on the rest of your chart and the transits Uranus makes to your natal placements from Gemini.
Some of your ideas could be too abstract and impractical, or you could communicate in a way that shocks and offends others, whether deliberately or by accident. You may feel intellectually rebellious and could alienate yourself by refusing to compromise. Polarised opinions could lead to fights, especially if you’re too fixed in your ideas or attached to ideologies.
These kinds of communication problems may reveal your mental blind spots and show where you need to rethink your approach. Misunderstandings, accidents and arguments may be more likely if you cling to the past and old ways of thinking. They also reveal hidden shadow material that needs to be brought into awareness so you can either let it go or reintegrate the lost parts of your being.
The point of this transit is to develop greater flexibility in your thinking by examining your assumptions about reality and yourself. Any new ideas and intuitions will need to be tested against reality and you may need to remember to slow down and think things through so you don’t miss important details. This will also help you to consider the practical implications and how you can make your ideas work in reality.
One of the most radical things you can do is to learn how to think critically and view things from alternative perspectives. You can detach from dualistic thinking by not identifying with either side of an argument and learning to be comfortable with paradox and uncertainty. This will allow you to hold opposing views in your head at the same time without having an emotional meltdown and projecting your shadow onto others.
You may also want to explore new forms of logic and nonlinear and nondual thought that transcend duality and black and white thinking. This will supercharge your intuition and radically alter your view of reality in surprising or even shocking ways. It could trigger a mystical awakening that helps you to accept that you don’t have to be thinking all the time or stuff your head full of ‘facts’.
“Do not seek the truth, only cease to cherish opinions.” – Seng-ts’an

This transit could also encourage you to embrace your weirdness and divergent thinking. Awareness of neurodivergence will increase as more people get in touch with their inner genius and unique perspectives. As a highly sensitive person (HSP) I welcome the increased awareness but reject the neurodivergent label because it implies there’s something wrong with not being normal. But what the hell is normal? And who decides?
I definitely don’t have a ‘normal’ or typical brain or nervous system and it makes me a little nuts. But that’s because I’m stuck living in a system that’s dehumanising and crazy-making. The really crazy people, as far as I’m concerned, are the so-called normal people who are quite happy living like this and think everything is fine. More on this here: Mental Health Awareness Week wants to know why you’re not thriving.
Many autistic people also reject the label and prefer to say that they’re “diagnosed with” the disorder. For them autism is a label, not an identity. And the same is true of many of the atypical ‘identities’ that have sprung up in recent years. Having said that, ‘highly sensitive person’ is a pretty accurate label for what I am!
The neurodiversity term was invented by a sociologist and it was never meant to be used to diagnose people. It came out of the civil rights movement and was designed to raise awareness which is why it’s become associated with social justice and identity politics. But it has its downside in that it tends to marginalise the people it’s supposed to help, as this article in Aeon magazine explores.
Whatever your identity, you are so much more than the labels that you or others attach to you. Uranus in Gemini may help you to blast through some of those labels and old stories and see them for what they are. You can let go of false identities and embrace your true Self in all its glory. Perhaps more normies will join us freaks by the end of this transit!
“What is the use of knowing everything else when you don’t know yourself.” – Ramana Maharshi

You could also use this transit to free yourself from the matrix of technology that we’re all embedded in. By unplugging you can reconnect with your humanity and with other people in real life rather than through a screen. But you could also use technology to alter your consciousness and induce meditative states, for example, or help you to concentrate by changing your brain waves.
These shortcuts to mental productivity may be helpful but it’s probably not a good idea to get too attached to the technology. You also don’t want to become dependent on tech in order to achieve certain altered states. Ultimately you don’t need the technology. Your marvellous brain is perfectly capable of doing it on its own – with your help, of course! It just takes practice and effort.
And that’s the key to making the most of Uranus in Gemini: You need to choose to develop your consciousness rather than offload responsibility for your thinking onto a machine. This transit won’t make you magically smarter or able to think. It will take effort and the wisdom to recognise when to switch off your phone and engage your own brain.
Over the next several years it’s going to be extremely difficult to figure out what’s going on. Media narratives will become increasingly disrupted and polarised so you’ll need mental strategies to deal with the onslaught. You will need to question everything while remaining open-minded and flexible and willing to change your mind. You don’t need to figure out exactly what’s going on in forensic detail. You just need to recognise that you’re being lied to and misled.
Doubt is incredibly powerful. The people in charge are only in power because we believe in them and that gives them power over us. When we stop believing in them and their stories, they have nothing, no ground to stand on – except by sheer force. And once you go there, you’ve admitted defeat.
Interestingly, both times Uranus enters Gemini, he does it while conjunct Venus and in the exact same way. This year Venus conjuncts Uranus in Taurus on 4th July and then enters Gemini the same day and pulls Uranus in behind her a few days later. The same thing happens next year when Venus conjuncts Uranus on 24th April 2026 and enters Gemini the same day, with Uranus joining her on 26th. Here’s the first ingress:

On 7th July Uranus enters Gemini conjunct Venus and opposite the Moon in Sagittarius in a cradle configuration with the mini triangle between Uranus, Saturn Neptune, and Pluto. As I said in Astro Journal 2025, this ingress will not go unnoticed! You’ll definitely feel the shift in energy. It could be highly energising and exciting but there could also be sudden economic shocks or surprising events that force you to react quickly.
The second ingress on 26th April 2026 happens with Uranus conjunct Venus and square the Moon in Leo and the nodes. It also triggers the mini triangle and there’s a huge pile up in Aries while the Sun squares Pluto:

You can cope with the increased speed of change over the coming years by becoming more detached and less emotionally reactive. This will help you to stop reacting to every shock or bit of news. You can’t keep up with everything that happens and you don’t really need to. Most of it is just a distraction and not every change will stick.
Remember to unplug and switch off your electronics on a regular basis and give yourself time to breathe and come back into your body. Find your still centre and stay anchored there as much as possible in the present. Allow the changes to happen around you, a still point in the centre of the storm.
“One must be deeply aware of the impermanence of the world.” – Dogen
Uranus in Gemini will certainly make the impermanence of the world feel very real. The challenge will be to not get sucked into the technology tsunami and stay in touch with your humanity.
In the next posts we’ll explore some of the negative effects of using this technology, as well as how Uranus could help to improve things, starting with Education and the Nature of Intelligence…
