When Pluto transits natal Venus your need for transformation and power influences your values, relationships and finances. Pluto destroys and regenerates old structures and represents your need to be empowered and reborn in this area.

When Pluto transits natal Venus it brings intensity and evolution to your relationships, finances, and values, as well as what you find beautiful and how you express your creativity. You may experience intense emotions through one-to-one relationships and could meet someone you find irresistibly attractive. They may be Plutonian in character or trigger passionate feelings that transform your view of yourself.
Pluto will test your relationships by forcing you to go deeper than maybe you have before. Anything that you’ve been hiding from yourself or others could return to the surface to be dealt with. This could trigger power struggles if you’re not honest about what you need. But if you can face the truth of your feelings, your relationship can deepen and become stronger by the end of the transit.
A relationship with too many problems may come to an end but this will depend on how willing you both are to change. By facing the truth, you can learn to accept yourself and your partner as you really are, and build greater intimacy based on emotional sincerity and mutual respect.
Hard aspects to Venus (conjunction, square or opposition) may be more challenging and could reawaken emotional complexes from childhood, including jealousy, rage, betrayal and fear of abandonment. This could trigger extreme reactions of possessiveness and issues with control and manipulation. But if you work with Pluto, you can heal these old wounds and find greater self-acceptance which will improve your relationships.
Your finances may also be transformed and you could increase your material security, perhaps after experiencing some kind of loss at the start of the transit. This may be more likely if you’re holding on too tight to what you own, so Pluto may encourage you to let go of what you no longer need. It’s a good time to clear your debts and get rid of old junk and explore what you really value in your life.
Pluto also encourages you to heal your lack of self-worth and negative self-image so you can create a life that allows you to be true to yourself. You may feel confused for a while as you explore who you want to become but you can learn to value yourself more by the end of the transit.
This process may involve doing more creative work and you may want to explore your feelings and issues through art or creativity. Your creative expression may change dramatically or become more intense and powerful, or you could become obsessed by a new project.
You could also feel blocked creatively and may need to explore any emotional issues that could be involved. You may need to wait for your creative juices to start flowing again, or you may discover a new approach that deepens your view of yourself and your art.

My Notes:
Pluto transited conjunct my natal Venus in 1980-81, from age 10 to 11, when Pluto was in Libra in my 8th house. This coincided with when I was at middle school and first started learning to play the flute and I quickly became obsessed with playing it because I loved it so much. I also performed in Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Royal Theatre in Brighton which featured Jess Conrad in the lead role. I was paid £4 – my first artistic remuneration!
Pluto transited sextile my natal Venus in 2004-5, from age 33 to 35, when Pluto was in Sagittarius in my 10th house. This coincided with when my long-term boyfriend finally moved out after we had broken up several months earlier, before this transit started. I also started writing screenplays, thanks to Uranus transiting opposite my Sun, and in my notebook wrote: “If I ever write a book, I’ll call it Addled.” That book materialised later when Pluto was trine my Sun.
Pluto transited square my natal Venus in 2019-20, from age 48 to 50, when Pluto was in Capricorn in my 12th house. This coincided with when I started to take donations on this website which allowed me to upgrade and get rid of the horrible ads. I was doing lots of writing but then broke my wrist halfway through the transit, slowing me down a bit!
But then Nexus magazine reprinted my Saturn Pluto article, and Anaiya Sophia published Fierce Feminine Rising which included extracts of my work from this site. Meanwhile, my student loans were written off (hurray!) because I turned 50 years old. I received the letter the day Mars retrograde went into my 2nd house.
