When Pluto transits natal Saturn your need for transformation and power influences the structures and limitations of your life. Pluto destroys and regenerates old structures and represents your need to be empowered and reborn in this area.

When Pluto transits natal Saturn it brings intensity and evolution to your work and social status and the structures of your life, as well as your fears and doubts about your ambitions, how you take responsibility and your attitude towards authority. This transit is an opportunity to free yourself from old conditioning and limitations that may be holding you back but you will have to work for it.
Pluto challenges your defences and forces you to look at your fears and doubts so you can let them go and become stronger. This may happen as a result of events in your life or you may feel compelled to break free of an old way of defining yourself. It’s a good time to get out of bad habits but this won’t necessarily be easy even with the sextile and trine.
Hard aspects to Saturn (conjunction, square or opposition) may be more challenging and you may experience losses in almost any area of your life as old structures are torn down. Emotional complexes and old fears may return to your awareness and you may be forced to confront the past so you can understand how you have become who you are.
You might have problems with your father or father figure, or those in authority and the power structures of society and the law. The system could come down hard on you if you try to avoid taking responsibility. Be especially careful of being too confrontational and belligerent because you could trigger an extreme reaction against you.
Anything that you’re too attached to that gives you a sense of security or identity may be disrupted and tested. Whatever no longer works will end, sometimes overnight. You can make it easier for yourself by cooperating with this process and letting go of any structures or attachments that aren’t healthy or good for you anymore.
You may feel vulnerable and lack confidence at first, but if you take responsibility for yourself, you can rebuild your life in a more rewarding and positive way. You can gain insight into old wounds, grow in self-knowledge and maturity, and empower yourself by developing greater self-mastery. You can also learn new skills and discover talents and strengths you didn’t know you had.
This won’t happen overnight and you will need to be patient. But if you work hard, you can achieve a lot during this transit because Pluto gives you greater stamina and determination to succeed. You can create a stronger foundation of security for your life by recognising that true security ultimately can only be found within the core depths of your being – in your soul – not in material structures in the world.

My Notes:
I was born with Pluto trine Saturn so the first transit was the opposition to my natal Saturn in 1991-93, from age 21 to 23, when Pluto was in Scorpio in my 9th house. This transit coincided with when I was at college studying music and I had a breakdown as Pluto moved into orb. Other transits contributed to the inner collapse: Saturn and Neptune transiting my 12th house, Uranus square natal Chiron, and the progressed Sun conjunct natal Pluto.
The collapse happened because I didn’t know who I was and this transit helped me to put myself back together again. But it wasn’t easy and at the start I lost everything when my new flat was burgled. They took almost everything I owned, including all my keyboards and flute – my entire past as a musician gone overnight.
Unfortunately the flat was damp and so within 6 months I had to throw out all my clothes and cassettes (my entire record collection) because they’d gone mouldy. Meanwhile, I was reading voraciously and learning about psychology, philosophy and astrology and rediscovering who I was. By the end of the transit I was hanging out at a local recording studio and dreaming of becoming a sound engineer.
Pluto transited trine my natal Saturn in 2019-20, from age 48 to 50, when Pluto was in Capricorn in my 12th house. This coincided with Pluto square my natal Venus when I was doing lots of writing for this website and changing my approach to make the site more professional by removing the ads. I also broke my wrist in an altercation with a dog so Pluto helped to rebuild my bones, but I was then diagnosed with osteoporosis – which I strongly dispute.
Halfway through the transit I received recognition for my work when Nexus magazine reprinted my Saturn Pluto article, and Anaiya Sophia published Fierce Feminine Rising which included extracts from this site.
