As we approach the end of the year the Saturn Neptune conjunction continues to dominate, creating chaos and an oppressive atmosphere. This could leave you feeling depressed or confused as systems disintegrate and we scrabble to hold on to something that isn’t constantly shifting. The mood may be argumentative and volatile with bursts of optimism and intense emotions. These can be harnessed into making profound changes or a total mess, depending on how much awareness you bring to your choices and actions.

November starts with Neptune, Uranus, Chiron, and Saturn retrograde, while Mercury and Jupiter join them after the first week. But the big news is that Uranus goes back into Taurus on 8th November for a final visit, giving you an opportunity to deal with any loose ends in that area of your chart. There could be disruption or a breakout of an old problem you thought you had fixed, or a surprising new solution or breakthrough.
Uranus goes into Taurus while opposite the Mercury Mars conjunction which has been with us since early October and stays until the middle of November. This has the potential for great liberation as well as shocking reversals in events depending on how it hits your chart. I’ve been bitch-slapped a few times by reality in the last month because Mercury Mars has been opposite my Saturn – not fun!
We also have a water Grand Trine that hangs around all month stirring up intense emotions, while the mini triangle configuration between Uranus, Saturn Neptune, and Pluto is also still going strong. This features the second exact Uranus Neptune sextile on the same day as the New Moon later in the month. More on Uranus Neptune here.
The Full Moon in Taurus on 5th November only aspects the nodes but the rest of the chart is busy with a Grand Cross, a Cradle, a Grand Trine and two Kites. There’s lots of tension but also plenty of escape routes and mitigation if you don’t want to get caught up in endless arguments. Mercury and Mars are conjunct in Sagittarius so you should feel energetic and optimistic but the opposition from Uranus could make your mind race and misunderstandings could trigger fights or surprises.
Try to slow down and draw on the energies of the Grand Trine between Mercury Mars, Jupiter and Saturn Neptune. You could receive new ideas and inspiration that help you to break free of old habits or put your imagination into creative projects or work to help others guided by faith and compassion.

The Mercury Mars conjunction hangs around for a while because Mercury goes retrograde on 9th November while still opposite Uranus. This is an incredibly volatile combination so there could be many disruptive events in the days around the station. Your energy levels will be high and you may tend to act without thinking and this could lead to accidents so be careful with sharp objects and when driving or moving around.
The helpful Grand Trine is still there with the Sun, Saturn Neptune, and Jupiter conjunct the Moon. With Jupiter in Cancer you can draw on emotional wisdom and kindness that should see you through any upsets.

Mercury was conjunct Mars on 20th October and they form another conjunction with Mercury retrograde this time on 12th November. The conjunction fades out of orb on 17th November just before Mercury goes back into Scorpio on 19th. The Mars Uranus opposition fades out by 15th November so things should cool down as this day approaches.
Through all of this the Jupiter Pluto opposition is quietly gaining power ready for its exact alignment in July next year. It stays within orb until 7th December but only gets as close as 6 degrees in November. This transit expands your desire for power and could indicate success in whatever you’ve been working towards. You can also use it to transform yourself on a deep emotional level.
But it could trigger power struggles and a tendency to push too hard or throw your weight around to get what you want. This doesn’t bode well for geopolitical shenanigans and world events and we could see a tiny preview of what may be in store next year as the aspect gets closer. Pay particular attention when the Moon triggers either Jupiter or Pluto by conjunction, square or opposition.
On 20th November the New Moon in Scorpio is conjunct Mercury retrograde and trine Jupiter and Saturn Neptune in the Grand Trine, and opposite Uranus in Taurus which also forms a Kite. This lunation is great for having deep and profound conversations, exploring your emotions and sharing your passions. Uranus could bring a few surprises or unearth secrets that could be liberating or shocking. You can also break free of old habits and receive insights that lead to a new beginning – although this might have to wait until Mercury turns direct at the end of the month.

Shortly after the New Moon, the conjunction between Mercury retrograde and the Sun becomes exact. This is the moment to gather inspiration, plant seeds and make intentions for the plans or changes you need to make once Mercury stations direct. Things may still feel sluggish due to Saturn being retrograde but he stations direct on 28th November when you may notice a shift in energy or a return to clarity.
Mercury goes direct the next day on 29th November in Scorpio while conjunct Venus and in the water Grand Trine with Jupiter and Saturn Neptune conjunct the Moon. This is the moment to act on the plans you’ve made and any seeds planted should bear fruit by the next superior conjunction with the Sun in January 2026.
By now the opposition between Mercury and Uranus is fading out of orb but there may still be a few surprises or unexpected detours around the day of the station. Uranus is now opposite Venus so his disruptive efforts may shift to your finances and relationships instead. You may need to pay extra attention to your expenses and remember to use the harmonious aspects of the Grand Trine to defuse any tension in your relationships.

I’m currently working on the Astro Journal for 2026 which will be cheaper than usual or even free because it’ll be shorter and less detailed (depending on how it turns out). Hopefully it’ll be ready sometime in December – more details coming soon!

Thanks, Joseph. I have taken a step back from writing and I’m doing a lot less of it – busy with looking for a job. But hopefully I can still get the Astro Journal ready for 2026 – however, it will be much shorter and quite basic!
