February Astrology 2026

February begins in Aquarius season when the cosmic life-force fertilises the mind and opens it to new perspectives and ideas so that we can see things differently. You may be inspired to reform old systems based on radical principles and ideals and reconnect with your community in a way that doesn’t undermine your authentic individuality. More on the meaning of Aquarius here: Aquarius Myths

This month the clustering of planets continues and slowly shifts from Aquarius to Pisces bringing an increased emphasis to these areas of your chart. Mercury enters Pisces first, followed by Venus, then the Sun, and finally Mars. As each planet reaches the end of Aquarius they square Uranus so the whole month could be filled with disruptions, sudden reversals and surprises, both good and bad.

But the month begins with the Full Moon in Leo on 1st February opposite the stellium in Aquarius with the Sun conjunct Venus, Mars and Mercury. This lunation highlights the conflict between your need for individuality and self-expression and your need for community. The 5-planet pile-up in Aquarius includes the Mars Pluto conjunction, although the intensity of this energy is fading fast.

At this point Mercury is the only planet squaring Uranus which could trigger sudden changes of mind, arguments between friends, annoying tech disruptions and surprising news and messages.

Full Moon in Leo on 1st February 2026

Shortly after the lunation Uranus stations direct near the end of Taurus on 4th February. If this contacts your chart you may notice a shift in the energy and could experience a breakthrough or receive insights and new ideas that help to change your approach in the areas affected. Eclipse season also fades in shortly after the lunation which may increase the likelihood of disruption if your chart is triggered.

By the end of the first week Mercury and Venus enter Pisces and your thinking may become more imaginative and slippery, and your relationships tinged with romanticism and fantasy. It’s important to remember that Mercury enters his retrograde shadow on 11th February so any new ideas or projects that you begin now may need to be revisited at the end of the month.

On 14th February Saturn enters Aries and joins Neptune, ready for their big conjunction. This could be a moment of clarity or a wake-up call when you’re forced to confront reality in this area of your chart. The next couple of years represent an opportunity to redefine how you see yourself as an individual so that you can become more authentic in your self-expression. More on Saturn in Aries here.

On 17th February the New Moon in Aquarius is a solar eclipse, although it’s not total because the north node is still in Pisces. The eclipse is at the end of Aquarius square Uranus so the potential for disruption continues. Mercury and Venus in Pisces are both conjunct the north node so you may receive karmic messages and inspiration for a new beginning.

The Saturn Neptune conjunction becomes exact on 20th February and triggers the mini triangle configuration at the midpoint with Uranus and Pluto. This may be a powerful moment if it contacts your chart as it happens at the zero point in Aries, seeding a new beginning or potential future for your life. Take the opportunity to make this a positive new start by being as conscious and self-aware as you dare! More on the Saturn Neptune conjunction here.

However, Mercury is about to go retrograde so you may need to be extra careful with your plans because they could get disrupted. Clarity may not fully arrive until after Mercury has stationed direct in March.

Mercury stations retrograde in Pisces on 26th February when your mind slows down so you can explore this area of your life in more depth. You may want to focus your energy on exploring your dreams, imagination, creativity and compassion. Mercury goes retrograde just before entering Aries and meeting Saturn and Neptune. That means he won’t reach Aries until mid-April so the details on your new plans could be squiffy or difficult to pin down until then.

This Mercury retrograde transit could be extra disruptive because it happens at the same time as the Mars Uranus square which goes exact on 27th February. This is an extremely volatile energy which can easily get out of control and you could feel impulsive with erratic bursts of energy and anger. Try to remember to slow down and think things through before taking action and be especially careful with sharp pointy objects and while driving.

If you’re prone to inflammatory health issues these could flare up if this transit contacts your chart. So take extra care of yourself this month, and into March, and do your best to get as much sleep and rest as you can.
