We’ve finally reached the last exciting ingress for this year as Uranus prepares to enter Gemini for the first time in 84 years on 7th July 2025. He only stays for a few months until 8th November 2025 when he dips back into Taurus for a final visit. He returns to Gemini on 26th April 2026 and stays for the next 7 years until 22nd May 2033, with a bit of toggling into Cancer in 2032.

Back in 2021 we explored the history of Uranus in Gemini and the possible developments that this transit could bring and what I said then is still relevant. This transit should feel very different to the last 7 years as the pace of change accelerates and goes exospheric.
The sheer number of innovations and breakthroughs could give us whiplash and future shock but not every change will last. We can look at Uranus in Taurus to see how it works: nobody wants lab-grown or fake meat anymore, for example, although the war against farmers is still going strong.
Uranus transits bring sudden change and revolution through surprises, unexpected reversals and disruptionthat force you to see reality in new ways. There may be rebellions driven by a desire for freedom and reform, as well as technological inventions and awakenings that increase consciousness. In Gemini this will transform how we think and communicate by unleashing new ideas that radically alter our view of ourselves and reality.
This will influence multiple areas of our lives (reinforced by the trine to Pluto in Aquarius), including:
- How we distribute information and share ideas
- Communications technology, internet and social media
- Computer modelling, programming, drones, robotics and AI
- How we process statistics and facts
- How we use data, data storage and the cloud
- Freedom of speech and privacy
- News, media and journalism
- Education and teaching
- Breakthroughs in science, plasma physics and chaos mathematics
- New forms of energy and propulsion, anti-gravity and UFOs (and UAPs)
- Our use of electricity and the electric grid
- Transport and how we get around, self-driving cars and EVs
- Town planning, use of roads, and 15-minute cities
- Trade, distribution of goods and mercantilism
- War, fighting between neighbours and civil wars
We have many problems in these areas and Uranus could trigger new ideas, revolutions and sudden shifts in direction that help to solve these issues. But it could also reinforce our worst habits and make the situation worse. We’ll probably see a little of both.
Gemini is a dual sign so we can expect Uranus to manifest in contradictory ways that create polarisation and splitting between people and within individuals. Uranus could trigger shadow eruptions, scapegoating and persecution as the cancellation of people for wrongthink continues and becomes more extreme. The pressure to choose sides in an argument or to take a stand on something you believe in could increase, pushing people into extreme positions.
Uranus is inherently unpredictable and we tend to assume (or hope) that the changes he brings will be progressive and positive. But Uranus is also prone to stirring up fanaticism and ideological crusades driven by extreme idealism that is disconnected from reality and destructive to humanity.
To make matters worse, Gemini is ruled by Mercury who is a trickster and associated with grifting and theft. So Uranus here could also trigger epic levels of bullshit that obscures reality through narrative confusion and literally drives people insane. Trump is an excellent example of this with his Sun conjunct Uranus in Gemini.
Uranus disrupts but doesn’t necessarily improve. Therefore the best outcomes will depend on you making conscious choices in how to navigate these changes. That means this transit will accelerate the bifurcation that appears to be opening up in humanity: the split between those who think and are awake and those who don’t. Or active vs passive, conscious vs unconscious, authentic vs fake, and so on.

This transit is part of the mini triangle configuration between Uranus, Neptune and Pluto marking a huge turning point in history and the end of a 500-year era of change. The current Neptune midpoint signals the end of modernism and the materialist belief in progress underpinned by the scientific reductionist paradigm and its quest to turn man into little gods.
Uranus in Gemini may appear to reinforce that old idea with its emphasis on technology but that same technology has also introduced new ways of communicating that have transformed how we see the world and ourselves. As we explored earlier, the internet is the equivalent of the printing press that was invented just before the previous Neptune midpoint that brought the shift into modernism.
We’re now ready for the next shift, and along with Pluto in Aquarius, this transit will help to breakdown old ways of thinking and introduce something new. At best this will be a more holistic or integrated way of looking at reality, as characterised by astrology and mysticism, underpinned by breakthroughs in physics that overturn the old materialist paradigm.
Uranus will also reinforce the process of decentralisation as we move away from centralised power structures to networks of cooperation between nations, underpinned by the air cycle of Jupiter Saturn conjunctions. This increases the emphasis on national boundaries and sovereignty, fuelled by Saturn and Neptune in Aries, as well as a return to mercantilism and protectionism.
As the power map is reorganised, we may see an increase in economic instability with trade wars and currency wars making things chaotic and unpredictable. Borders between nations may be redrawn, while other countries fragment and break apart, including the EU, the UK, and even the US. All this makes war more likely with antagonism rising between neighbours as civility breaks down.
We could see more wars breaking out almost anywhere, including civil wars, border and neighbour disputes, fighting over disputed territory and boundaries, revolutions and civil unrest due to ethnic and tribal feuds within countries and between nations, as well as all-out World War Three which would be a catastrophe for everyone.
Localised wars between nations could spread, triggering a wider conflict, especially after Saturn moves away from Neptune in 2027. This includes Europe where a breakdown of order within individual countries could spread across borders and ignite old grudges between nations. Whether any of this turns into WW3 is unknowable at this point. But those in power certainly want us to believe that war is coming because that provides the perfect excuse for the real war: the war against the people by the State/System (reinforced by Pluto in Aquarius).

We’re already in the middle of an information war where narratives are used to define reality and manufacture consent to control behaviour. The collection and management of data covering every aspect of our lives will increase, raising questions about privacy and the control of speech and thinking. Narrative psyops could be targeted at specific groups or even individuals using digital ID and social credit scores to punish anyone who steps out of line.
This has already been happening for a while on a small scale but with the introduction of AI it could become more focused and intrusive. Whoever controls the data has the power and the goal is to use it to enforce compliance and even predict your behaviour within an inescapable digital prison:

The ‘powers that be’ are struggling to keep up with the firehose of information that surges around the internet on a daily basis, hence the authoritarian backlash. Nobody knows what’s real or true anymore and recent improvements in AI video and image generation has made this infinitely harder. This provides the perfect pretext to demand controls and restrict access to information, making the State the only source of truth.
However, they’ve already destroyed their own credibility and authority so even if they succeed in creating a digital gulag, many will continue to doubt what they’re being shown. The technology itself will also undermine their ability to maintain control and its lack of accuracy could jeopardise their best laid plans. We’ll explore the issues with AI in more depth later.
The more data there is, the more fragmented it becomes and the harder it is to predict outcomes. Uranus will accelerate this process of degradation in unpredictable ways. The lies and corruption and misinformation and disinformation could be revealed in shocking and surprising ways, triggering narrative breakdown and chaos.
This will create a revolution in the newspaper and media industries, both mainstream and alternative. The use of AI to write the news will spread leading to job losses and issues with accuracy that could make people question everything. More people will turn away from the lies and there may be a rise in demand for real journalism by real journalists – individuals who are willing to speak truth to power and hold both governments and corporations to account.
The desire for free speech will also intensify as people feel the digital walls closing in around them. Free speech is important because nobody has a monopoly on the truth. It doesn’t matter if your opinion is stupid or misguided. With free speech it can be countered and proved to be so. Without free speech it can’t. And governments are often the ones pushing the most stupid and misguided ideas, usually for nefarious reasons.
Freedom of speech means nothing if you don’t have the freedom to think. Many people don’t think anyway so the freedom to think means nothing to them. But Uranus could prod more people into learning how to think for themselves for the first time. This could be challenging because it’s hard, as the internet proves everyday:

Uranus in Gemini can help you to break free of your mental prison. But it could also radicalise you and turn you into an ideology-spouting maniac! The difference is the quality and depth of your thought and self-reflection.
You will need to question everything because it won’t be obvious what’s true or real. This is especially the case if you’re already convinced you know what’s going on. What you believe is happening might be true, but it might also be a manipulation or a lie, or a combination of both. You will need to be extremely careful what you believe in over the coming years. For more see: Mystic Warrior Practice: Mind War
At best we could see a cultural renaissance driven by new ideas and breakthroughs in thinking that surprise everyone. With Neptune in Aries this could become a spiritual awakening or shift in consciousness that embraces holistic thinking and humanitarian ideals boosted by the trine to Pluto in Aquarius.
For this to happen on a mass scale people will have to get off their smartphones and stop being obsessed with technology. This seems unlikely but there’s already a growing number of Neo-Luddites who are trying to break free and spend more time offline and unplugged. They recognise that technology has taken over their lives and they don’t like the results.
Interacting with bots and machines all the time has a dehumanising effect and reinforces some of our worst characteristics. It encourages solipsism and narcissism and reinforces sociopathy and nihilism. This ultimately leads to the breakdown of society because people become incapable of relating to each other in any meaningful way.
People may start to look for more human interaction to counterbalance this, as well as more authentic and soulful content online. There could also be an increase in the use of retro tech, such as CDs, vinyl and other analogue mediums like handmade zines and pamphlets, as people reject the fakery of AI. We could even improve a lot of our tech products by outlawing planned obsolescence – that would be a real revolution!

A good place to start exploring these ideas is the Low-Tech Magazine website which explores “the potential of past and often forgotten technologies and how they can inform sustainable energy practices.” It’s a solar-powered site so it sometimes goes down – and that brings us to the final important point:
Collecting all the data necessary to run the proposed digital panopticon requires an enormous amount of energy and huge numbers of massive data centres. These are already being built but more will be needed as the data grows exponentially.
However, they will struggle to get enough energy due to current Net Zero policies in some countries, such as the UK and the EU. This is likely to cause disruption and widespread blackouts due to mismanagement of the power grid. This already happened in Spain in April 2025 when solar farms got overloaded and triggered an outage.
Innovation could change things but without rapid rollout of these improvements, the data dragnet that they’re building won’t extend far. At the moment it’s a lot of hot air and it remains to be seen whether it actually works in reality.
You can’t collect data on your citizens if they’re sitting in the dark waiting for the power to come back on. It also means you can’t listen to them planning to overthrow your myopic system because when the power goes off, so does your surveillance.
Doh! 😂
No matter how powerful your technology appears to be and how effective your narrative psyops are, they’re still dependent on electricity. Even if you use satellites to bounce data around, it still needs to be stored somewhere. The cloud isn’t floating around in the air – it’s in a physical server that needs to be plugged into the mains.
The entire technological system appears to be unassailable because it’s everywhere and inescapable. But it’s incredibly fragile. Uranus in Gemini could provide the wake-up call we need to finally break free of our addiction to technology and come back to reality.
Next time we’ll explore how Uranus in Gemini works in your natal chart…

Amazing article, as always. Uranus is now on my 5th house cusp, in direct opposition with my Sun scorpio- Saturn Sagittarius conjunction on the 11th house cusp. I waited for this transit, to be honestly, as I really need to express myself more freely.

Thanks for an interesting article, as always. It’s interesting how Uranus in Gemini perfectly tracks the defining moments in American history, with the revolutionary war and the French revolution being what defines Uranus as the planet of revolution. Trump’s strong connection to the same aspect makes it even more relevant to keep our gaze upon the big country in the west.
Given that Uranus is the planet of revolution and rebellion and Gemini is communication, it could very well be that AI and the digital prison being built is what the collective rebellion is aimed against. And maybe the equivalent to the French revolution in Europe will be an intensification of the farmer’s rebellion, or rejection and rebellion against our politician’s insane immigration policies. Possibly both. In any case, I wouldn’t want to be a politician in the EU-parliament during the next seven years…
