Writer’s Manifesto: J is for Judgement

Manifesto J

Judge your writing with care. Don’t be your own worse critic.

Be balanced and fair…

Judge wisely.

  1. Put your hands up where I can see them and step slowly away from the keyboard! Distance is our best friend when it comes to judging our work, for sure. Often we can’t see the forrest for the trees. I have a hard time stepping away from a beautiful piece of writing because it feels so good you want it to go on forever. When I was less learned about my craft I destroyed a number of what would have been great pieces though an inability to let go.
