Chiron in Taurus: 2026 to 2034

Last time we explored the history of Chiron in Taurus transits and discovered that they coincide with periods of increased awareness of inequality, economic hardship and misuse of resources. How this affects you on a personal level will depend on where Taurus is in your chart and whether Chiron aspects any of your natal placements during this transit. If you have natal Chiron in Taurus (born between 1976 and 1984) you’ll also have your Chiron return – more on that here.

Chiron will be in Taurus from 2026 to 2034. He only spends a few months there this year from 19th June to 18th September and then returns to stay for the next 6 years on 14th April 2027. Chiron begins to move into Gemini on 19th July 2033 and then returns to Taurus for a final visit from 23rd October 2033 to 5th May 2034.

On a collective level, this transit may bring challenging events associated with banking, money, employment, economic restrictions and depressions, resource use and management, agriculture, land, food production and prices, rationing using digital ID and digital currency, capital controls, shortages, famines, and disease. Events in these areas may cause wounding and pain but also increased awareness that brings healing and positive change.

The first few years may be the most intense because Chiron also conjuncts Saturn in Taurus in 2028-29 and squares Pluto in Aquarius in 2028-30. These alignments may magnify the negative manifestations of the Chiron in Taurus archetype, although transits from Jupiter also provide support and positive encouragement. Here are the key transits and dates for your diary:

  • Jupiter Chiron square: final alignment this year on 2nd July 2026; in orb from 8th May to 9th August 2026
  • Chiron Pluto square: not exact until 2028 but in orb this year from 1st May to 29th December 2026. Returns from 24th March 2027 and gets very close in August 2027 but isn’t exact until 9th July 2028, then again on 24th October 2028, 2nd June 2029, 9th December 2029, and 28th April 2030. Continues in and out of orb until April 2033.
  • Jupiter Chiron trine: exact on 2nd December 2026, 3rd January 2027 and 17th August 2027; in orb from 10th October 2026 and into 2027.
  • Saturn Chiron conjunction: exact on 8th June 2028; in orb from 16th June to 10th October 2027, and again from 29th January to 5th June 2029. Gets very close on 27th December 2028 but doesn’t go exact.

Chiron doesn’t conjunct Saturn again until they’re in Pisces on 30th April 2111 so this transit may be a big deal! The previous conjunction was also in Pisces on 13th April 1966. (The cycle is 64–165 years due to Chiron’s highly elliptical orbit.)

Remember you can use the intensity of Pluto and discipline of Saturn to tackle difficult problems and find evolutionary solutions. The challenge will be not giving in to the potential oppressive atmosphere that can take over society when the economy takes a downturn. There are more supportive Jupiter alignments with Chiron from 2029 to 2034, starting with the opposition in 2029-30 which could be tricky, but the rest should provide welcome relief and inspiration for making positive changes.

As I said last time, it’s important to remember that Chiron in Taurus doesn’t necessarily bring economic hardship or recession. These kinds of events tend to be associated with Saturn Pluto alignments which we also have coming up in 2028. Chiron will increase our awareness of the injustice of inequality and suffering and hopefully fuel a desire for healing and improvements.

On a personal level Chiron in Taurus could increase your awareness of any issues you have with your body and feelings of self-worth, your attitude towards money, security, possessions, wealth and abundance, and the things and people that you value. You may feel more insecure than usual, especially in relation to your body and whether you can provide for yourself and your family. Difficulties with money could make you lose trust in the abundance of life.

These feelings may arise even if your financial situation is basically sound, perhaps due to painful memories of the past or fears stoked by current events in the world. You could become overly cautious with money and cling to possessions and/or people, hoarding the things you believe will make you feel better. You could try to compensate for inner pain by becoming materialistic and greedy or see wealth as a sign that you’re better than everyone else.

On the other hand, financial pressures could make you feel that you’re not good enough or not worthy of having what you need. You could even deny yourself what you need due to low self-worth. You may experience wounding caused by poverty or a lack of adequate food and the basic essentials of life. Or struggle with eating disorders, food intolerances and allergies, or health issues caused by buried emotional wounds.

Issues with food, eating and enjoyment of life may lead to feelings of guilt or shame. You could attempt to numb painful feelings by overindulging in food or becoming obsessed with your body and how it looks. You may try to armour yourself through body building, trying to make yourself stronger and invincible so you can’t be hurt and to avoid feelings of vulnerability and insecurity.

You may hide behind a false body image, perhaps focused more on how you look rather than how you feel, and become dependent on validation from others to feel good about yourself. You may compromise yourself in order to keep others happy, leading to further self-neglect and disconnection from your own values. But this only increases insecurity and undermines your relationship with yourself and your own body and reinforces the feeling that you’re not good enough.

With Chiron in Taurus it’s easy to get stuck in a painful situation like this because Taurus is a fixed sign and tends to be very stubborn. You could end up wallowing in your pain or believe the difficult situation is what you deserve, which only makes it worse. This traps you in a vicious wounding cycle where you become attached to your suffering because it allows you to avoid change.

But this transit isn’t really about suffering. It’s about learning how to transmute suffering into a new perspective and reconnecting with your true values from within your own soul.

Whether or not you already struggle with these issues, this transit may encourage you to explore healthier ways to relate to your body and need for security. You may want to develop greater self-reliance and self-sufficiency so you can build strong resources for yourself and your family (without hoarding!). You could also explore your attitude towards money and possessions by questioning what you really need and not wasting valuable resources on things that don’t matter to you.

Practising gratitude for what you have will help you to develop a deeper understanding of the meaning of abundance. You can learn to trust that life or the universe or God is on your side and will provide what you need. This shifts your perspective away from a sense of scarcity and feelings of unworthiness towards abundance, blessing and enjoyment.

The best way to approach this transit is to find practical solutions to problems that are simple and straightforward. You may also benefit from practices that keep you grounded in your body, such as mindfulness, breathing, bodywork, Tai Chi, and yoga, as well as things like gardening, walking in nature, caring for animals, cooking healthy meals that make you feel good, and so on.

By listening to your body you can befriend your instincts and learn to feel safe and happy in your own skin. This allows you to relax and trust life and enjoy simple pleasures without feeling guilty – like eating well and getting enough rest. You don’t need validation from others in order to accept yourself or feel present and alive in your own body. When you treat yourself with respect and compassion you grow in wisdom and inner strength.

You can accept yourself as you are, even if your body is unwell. Healing comes from accepting every part of yourself, including the bits you don’t like – the illness, pain, physical limitations, difficult emotions and experiences, and so on. This kind of radical self-acceptance allows you to become fully embodied, regardless how you feel physically and develop inner self-worth that doesn’t depend on external conditions.

The healing process may be slow and steady – in Taurus you get no quick results – but when you do heal, the results will be long-lasting and grounded in something real. You can find true value within yourself even if your outer situation isn’t going well and build inner resources that will serve you long after this transit is over.

The gifts of Chiron in Taurus include patience, resilience, practical skills that build real value in the world, and finding stability and inner strength in a crisis. These gifts may also manifest through the house where Chiron is placed in your chart and the house where he’s transiting. Explore Chiron in the houses here.
